About SpaceX CRS 10:

SpaceX CRS10 Rocket

SpaceX CRS 10 known as SpX-10 which is a cargo resupply mission to ISS. The mission was contracted by NASA and will operated by SpaceX in Feb 2017.SpaceX CRS 10 will be launched from Kennedy Space Center lanch Pad A, the first launch from the complex since STS-135

NASA has contracted for the and therefore determines the primary payload, date and time of launch, and orbital parameters for the Dragon space capsule. is expected to carry 2,029 kg (4,473 lb) of pressurized mass and 977 kg (2,154 lb).

 

The Falcon 9 rocket’s reusable first stage will attempt a controlled landing at Landing Zone 1 (LZ1) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

LAUNCH VEHICLE:

  • Falcon 9 is  CRS 10 consist of  two-stage rocket manufactured to  transport satellites and their Dragon spacecraft into orbit. Currently the SpaceX CRS 10 rocket fully designed and developed in the 21st century, Falcon 9 delivers payloads to the Dragon spacecraft .
  • Safety and mission success were critical in the design of the Falcon 9 rocket.
  • Nine  on first-stage Merlin engines, the SpaceX CRS 10 Falcon 9 rocket is planned so that even if two of the engines shut down, the rocket can still be controlled.

Advantages :

  • SpaceX CRS 10  rocket, which can land itself back on Earth or on a drone ship at sea after takeoff.
  • This makes the rockets recyclable, and therefore cheaper to operate.
  • Dragon will deliver food and supplies to the crew aboard the ISS.

LAUNCH OF THE SENTINEL 2 B SATELLITE 

Sentinel 2 LAUNCH IN A NUTSHELL:

  • After the launch of the Guiana Space Center, the motor phase of the first three stages of Vega will last 6 minutes, 32 seconds.
  • After this first phase, the third stage of the launcher will separate from the upper composite.
  • Which includes the upper stage AVUM, a payload adapter and the satellite.
  • The three lower stages will fall into the sea.
  • The upper stage AVUM switches on its engine for the first time, operating for about 7 minutes.
  • Followed by a ballistic phase of about 40 minutes.
  • The AVUM stage will then restart its motor for about 2 minutes.
  • Before releasing the Sentinel-2B satellite about one minute after the engine stops.

Advantages:

  • Sentinel-2B will serve a wide range of terrestrial surface and coastal zone applications.
  • This mission provides information on agricultural and forestry practices.
  • To help manage food security.
  • Satellite images will be used to determine various plant indices
  • Such as the chlorophyll content of the leaf area and the water content indices.
  • This is particularly important for efficient prediction of yield and applications

  •  Flood management and mapping, risk analysis, loss assessment, disaster management during floods.
  • The Sentinel Monitoring Web application provides a simple way to view.

About Echostar 23:
